to one of her biggest inspirations, the late music icon Tina Turner, during the U.K. leg of her Renaissance World Tour.
On May 24, Turner passed away at the age of 83 in her Switzerland home after a long illness. As expected, Beyoncé wasted no time paying homage to the rock ‘n’ roll legend through her website.
“My beloved queen. I love you endlessly. I’m so grateful for your inspiration, and all the ways you have paved the way,” she wrote on the site at the time of her passing. “You are strength and resilience. You are the epitome of power and passion. We are all so fortunate to have witnessed your kindness and beautiful spirit that will forever remain. Thank you for all you have done.”
On Memorial Day, she took a moment during her tour stop in London at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the first of five nights performing in the city. The “Cuff It” singer wore a beautiful royal blue, mesh-like custom dress by fashion designer ROKSANDA while performing the 1966 single “River Deep – Mountain High” with a twist, as she sang it more like a ballad than a high-tempo song.
This shouldn’t take the BeyHive by surprise at all, as the mother of three has always been vocal about her admiration of the “What’s Love Got to Do With It” singer. The ‘”Cuff It” singer finally got the opportunity to live out one of her lifetime dreams when she met Turner and they together performed “Proud Mary,” Turner’s 1971 cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s song, on stage at the Grammys in 2008. The two icons stole the show in shiny silver ensembles and gave a high-energy performance that remains unforgettable 15 years later.
Beyoncé was red-hot in a rouge Alexander McQueen ensemble for the second of five London performances of her “Renaissance World Tour.”
Inspired by look 41 from the fashion house’s fall 2023 collection, the custom-made style was composed of an embroidered red dress and gloves, and paired with metallic red boots.
Selected by stylist Shiona Turini, the dress and gloves featured hand-embroidered bugle beading, which twinkled under the stage lights as the singer performed.
This is not the first fall 2023 inspired McQueen look Beyoncé has worn for her world tour; previously she wore a heavily silver beaded jumpsuit from the label to the opening of her tour.
The fall 2023 collection, like its pre-fall 2023 campaign that debuted earlier this month, placed emphasis on the power and elegance that comes with sartorialism.
The “Renaissance World Tour” kicked off in Stockholm on May 10, and has seen Beyoncé sport looks from Loewe, Mugler, Alexander McQueen and David Koma.
Sparkles and metallics have been a mainstay, with searches for “silver bodysuit” and “silver corset” rising 42 percent and 669 percent, respectively, since the first night of the tour.
Overall, the search term for “Renaissance tour outfits” has increased by 658 percent.
Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour wardrobe is just getting started, the singer made clear on Instagram.
Bey shared photos of a new outfit from her tour: an ultra-short black corset minidress with sheer sleeves, which she wore at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. It’s truly The Jetsons meets modern pop star attire. Beyoncé dropped close-up photos of the look with no caption. She accessorized with dangly earrings and a matching necklace.
So far, Beyoncé’s tour looks have consisted of a lot of futuristic pieces like this one. At one point, she even incorporated UV lighting to transform one of her dresses from the show.
In her last major interview given in August 2021, Beyoncé spoke to Harper’s Bazaar about her intentions with music. Addressing the COVID-19 pandemic and hinting that her album would ultimately be called Act I: Renaissance, she told the outlet, “With all the isolation and injustice over the past year, I think we are all ready to escape, travel, love, and laugh again. I feel a renaissance emerging, and I want to be part of nurturing that escape in any way possible. I’ve been in the studio for a year and a half. Sometimes it takes a year for me to personally search through thousands of sounds to find just the right kick or snare. One chorus can have up to 200 stacked harmonies. Still, there’s nothing like the amount of love, passion, and healing that I feel in the recording studio. After 31 years, it feels just as exciting as it did when I was nine years old. Yes, the music is coming!”
Queen Bey rules the world — and the concert scene! Beyoncé kicked off her Renaissance world tour in May 2023, quickly dazzling lucky concertgoers.
“@beyonce
The Quantico alum — who shares daughter Malti Marie, born in January 2022, with Jonas — attended the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium gig alongside her mother, Dr. Madhu Chopra. As the mother-daughter duo danced along to Beyoncé’s biggest hits, they were admittedly starstruck to meet other celebrities in the crowd.
“Salma Hayek, I love you,” Chopra Jonas captioned a follow-up post on her Instagram Story of her mom hugging the Frida actress. In a third snap, the Chopra matriarch also met Jay-Z, who married the former Destiny’s Child singer in April 2008. The Citadel actress also wrote that Beyoncé is “Queen forever,” alongside a fourth pic from the show.
Bridgerton’s Nicola Coughlan also saw the London show. “The only thing better than Beyoncé is Beytwicé,” the Ireland native captioned a selfie with Queer Eye’s Jonathan Van Ness via her Instagram that June. “And did I bawl crying the moment she was near me? Yes. Do I regret it? Absolutely not.”
Van Ness replied: “Beytwicé is the best thing I’ve ever heard 😂❤️❤️❤️.”
Beyoncé announced in February 2023 that she was hitting the road for her international Renaissance tour. The live shows, which feature performances from all seven of her solo records, also incorporated many stylish moments for the Grammy winner.
“I’ve worked with Beyoncé for over 10 years,” colorist Rita Hazan exclusively told Us Weekly in May 2023. “I’ve seen her hair under lights, on stage and in videos … So, I just thought that for this album and this tour she needed something different. Something a little edgy, but still glamorous at the same time. Her hair deserved a renaissance of its own.”
Beyoncé continues to present dazzling performances and fashion moments on her Renaissance World Tour.
The Grammy Award-winning singer most recently performed at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England, Monday night.
She's there for five nights, with four more scheduled performances on May 30, June 1, June 3 and June 4.

With production on The Masked Singer SA concluded, Anele initially shipped off to Dubai with her girlfriends, ditching her usual all-boys squad.
As such, she shared some snippets of her time on social media.
Moreover, sharing some more polarising sentiments on the global superstar, which this time was met with like-minds it seems.
